In a collaboration between Loe Feijs and Atelier Mlou, Living lorels is a first exploration of bring Lorels to life. A Lorel is hand pleated and therefore unique in its shape and one of a kind. The ongoing research involves different actuation and sensing technologies that translate into responsive soft interfaces.

During Dutch Design Week 2024, the first two experiments were presented at the Fashion Tech Farm. A wall object with an electromagnetic heartbeat and a piece that crawls in its own skin.
